Aline S.
Japan & Tanzania specialist
Passionate about travel and cultural exchange, I decided to settle in Japan, where I lived for eight years. I worked as a freelance travel writer (notably for Petit Futé) before moving into travel planning with a local agency, and later into tourism consulting for regional governments across Japan.
After returning to Europe, I broadened my horizons by exploring East Africa through several journeys to Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania. There, I discovered the richness of local cultures, the diversity of landscapes, and a new approach to travel.

Marion S.
Tanzania specialist
After three years in Southeast Asia working in the tourism industry, renting holiday villas across Thailand, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka, I felt the call for something wilder and more authentic. When I moved to East Africa in 2021, I discovered a playground to explore less-traveled routes, connect with local cultures, and challenge myself on hikes leading to breathtaking views.
I joined Tanuki Agency in 2025 to share this passion and my expertise in Tanzania and Uganda. I look forward to designing customized journeys, whether that means wildlife safaris, mountain treks, cultural experiences, or slow travel through beautiful landscapes.

Why a Tanuki ?
The tanuki is an iconic and multifaceted figure of Japanese folklore, symbolizing both mischief and good fortune. Traditionally associated with prosperity and hospitality, it often stands at the entrance of homes and businesses to welcome visitors.
I love coming across its familiar silhouette during my walks across Japan, a presence that feels both whimsical and endearing. Why not set out yourself to discover this charming little guardian of good luck?
